As an Accessibility Administrator, you will ensure staff and patients can access timely interpreting and translation services, as well as supporting inclusive communication across the Trust.

Working within the Accessibility team, you will manage bookings, respond to enquiries, and liaise with external providers to deliver efficient and reliable services. This role supports compliance with the Accessibility Information Standard and contributes to improved patient experience and care outcomes.

  • Provide a welcoming, responsive and professional interpreting and translation service to all Trust staff, resolving enquiries or queries in a timely manner.
  • Receive and respond to emails and manage booking requests and scheduling appointments through our external service providers as appropriate.
  • Respond promptly to staff enquiries or signpost them to the most appropriate booking route.
  • Monitor the department’s generic email address and respond to or direct interpreting and translation enquiries appropriately.
  • Advise staff on booking processes, requirements and timescales in line with Trust procedures and the Accessibility Information Standard.
  • Support with the processing and progression of interpreting and translation bookings ensuring reliable delivery of services.
  • Liaise effectively with a wide range of Trust staff and external service providers to ensure the smooth running of interpreting and translation services.
  • Escalate and/or resolve service issues, delays or concerns to the appropriate member of the team within reasonable time frames.
  • Escalate/resolve adverse incidents, complaints or welfare concerns to the appropriate member of the team/support service.
  • Manage own workload and identify/delegate appropriate tasks to meet service demands and deadlines.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Undertake any other tasks or projects consistent with the grade of this post.
