The Best Connection are currently looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our food manufacturing client in Southall. The successful candidate will have a strong combination of mechanical and electrical engineering skills and will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety and efficiency of various production equipment.
Your responsibilities would include, but not are limited to:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and manufacturing equipment.
- Responding quickly and effectively to mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
- Diagnose faults and identify root causes to minimise production downtime.
- Carry out mechanical repairs, adjustments and equipment modifications.
- Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems along with supporting the installation, commissioning and modification of new and existing equipment.
- Maintaining accurate engineering and maintenance records.
Working Hours: Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm with occasional weekends/overtime.
What we are looking for:
- Candidates must have a proven background in multi-skilled engineering
- Candidates must have experience in either the food or logistics sectors, working in accordance with short-order lead times, strict manufacturing practices and hygiene regulations- specifically high risk environments.
- The ideal candidate should live locally or drive due to location of site.
- Candidates will ideally be flexible due to the potential for weekend work/overtime.
