Manufacturing Engineer to join a world-class aerospace manufacturing business at its Devon-based facility.
Working within a highly innovative aerospace environment, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity are achieved.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimise manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Support production teams with technical expertise and process improvements.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process controls.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
- Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve operational performance.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace and regulatory standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience within a manufacturing, aerospace, engineering, or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement tools.
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies such as 8D or A3.
- Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, and 6S.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
