Staff Nurse - Rheumatology (Open to new qualified Nurses) | Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust

Speciality: Rheumatology (Medical Directorate)

We are recruiting compassionate and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurses to join the friendly and supportive team on Ward 6 at Wexham Park Hospital.

Ward 6 is a 36-bed medical ward specialising in rheumatology, working within the wider Medical Directorate, which includes stroke, elderly care, gastroenterology, haematology, endocrinology, cardiology, and respiratory services.

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

Your role will include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, while ensuring patient safety and supporting recovery across a range of medical conditions.

You will contribute to a positive team culture with a strong emphasis on collaboration, learning, and professional development.

These permanent roles are ideal for nurses seeking experience in a dynamic medical ward environment.

Newly qualified nurses graduating from UK universities are welcome to apply.

  • This role is open to newly qualified nurses graduating in September 2026
  • To be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care with minimal supervision.
  • To implement and be responsible for maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • To carry out all administrative and nursing duties as delegated by the team leader and senior sister.
  • To organise and deploy staff according to their competence to meet patients needs.

  • To demonstrate a sound knowledge of infection control standards and promote these within the ward environment

  • To act in accordance with policies and nursing procedures as per Trust policy.
  • To co-ordinate the team/ward in absence of the team leader or senior sister.
  • To ensure confidentiality of patient records and high standards of nursing
