The post is a key part of the OT discharge service supporting registered staff with the assessment and rehabilitation.
This role includes:
- Assessment of trauma and elective patients who have been referred for Occupational Therapy,
- Taking equipment out to patients’ homes and fitting items (training will be given),
- Setting up / providing follow up visits for prescribed equipment,
- Maintenance of stock,
- Liaison with outside agencies and patients’ families,
- Teaching patients and their families how to use and fit the equipment,
- Undertaking falls assessments.
The post is based at Wexham Park Hospital but applicants must be able to travel between all Frimley Health's hospitals and patients' homes. Our teams across all sites have a friendly, supportive atmosphere and a real team ethic. We know how to look after our staff - making sure they achieve the ideal work-life balance.
As a Trust we offer a multi-professional preceptorship programme. In addition, we offer excellent training opportunities supported by an APH practice development lead and clinical flow lead.
This position is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the contract.
