An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join the fast-paced Surgery Directorate at Wexham Park Hospital. The post holder will work alongside the management team to provide essential support to Medical Workforce Management. The primary focus of the role is to assist with the administrative functions associated with medical rotas, ensuring smooth day-to-day coordination and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a professional approach, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, alongside a confidential and compassionate outlook. They will be highly organised, able to work both independently and as part of a busy, high-pressure team, and capable of managing competing priorities to strict deadlines.
The overall purpose of all roles within the Directorate is to contribute to the effective delivery of patient-focused healthcare. All staff are expected to work flexibly and undertake any duties or tasks they are competent to perform in support of service needs.
Main duties involve providing administrative support to the Workforce Co-ordinator in relation to medical workforce rotas and staffing arrangements. The post holder will play a key role in assisting with the coordination, maintenance, and day-to-day management of rota-related processes, ensuring accurate and timely support across a busy surgical service.
The role supports a dynamic and demanding department covering Upper GI, Colorectal, General Surgery, and Urology services, contributing to the smooth running of workforce operations and helping to maintain safe and effective staffing levels across the Directorate.
