The predicted salary is between 11.7 - 14.3 Β£ per hour.
Working hours: 11 hours per week (Saturday 3.00pm - 10.00pm and Sunday 8.00am - 12.00pm).
Witham Lodge is a Salvation Army Lifehouse (supported housing) and has 30 rooms accommodating men and women over the age of 18 who are experiencing homelessness. We are looking to recruit a Weekend Day Concierge/Receptionist (internally known within The Salvation Army as a Day Concierge), who will be the first point of contact for everyone accessing our Lifehouse. This role requires a friendly, approachable person who will be pivotal in ensuring our vision for high-quality person-centred support is delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and work within the Mission and Values of The Salvation Army, always acting in a professional and ethical way when representing the organisation.
- Offer front of house service to clients/visitors ensuring they are signed in or out where required and their queries are handled in a professional friendly manner, referring them to the relevant person where required.
- Handling of cash ensuring all accounting records are properly maintained.
- Handle all incoming telephone calls and mail appropriately.
- To use a CCTV system (after training) in line with policy.
- Work as part of the overall team to ensure the most positive experience in Witham Lodge.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clients.
- Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes.
- Able to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army.
- Good customer service and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
- The ability to successfully work independently and within a team environment.
- Able to work in a busy environment and be solution focused.
