We are recruiting for a Quality Control Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business within the construction sector. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all products, materials, and processes meet company and regulatory standards across quality, health & safety, and environmental requirements.

This role also involves supporting the day-to-day management of the QC team, including technicians and inspectors, ensuring all testing and inspection activities are completed accurately and logged correctly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out technical validation of products, raw materials, and components
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Deputise for the Quality Control Manager when required
  • Analyse data to identify trends, issues, and improvements
  • Create and maintain inspection procedures and testing documentation
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure all testing equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the quality lab (5S)
  • Manage workload, performance, and task allocation within the QC team
  • Ensure incidents and non-conformances are reported correctly

About You

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within a quality role in manufacturing or a laboratory environment
  • Strong understanding of inspection, testing, and quality control methodologies
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • High attention to detail with strong communication and reporting skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • IT literate

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience with CMM measurement
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and 5S methodologies
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and industry standards
