4 on 4 off Shift Pattern | Days & Nights | Overtime Available

We are looking for an experienced Lead Maintenance Fitter to join a fast-paced industrial processing environment, supporting the smooth running of site operations and helping to minimise downtime across the plant.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown repairs and continuous improvement of machinery and equipment.

Working closely with production teams, you will play a key part in ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and with maximum productivity.

The Role

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on plant machinery
  • Completing planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns
  • Fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
  • Monitoring equipment performance and identifying improvements to reduce downtime
  • Maintaining stock levels of spare parts and reporting shortages
  • Completing maintenance reports and shift handovers
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
  • Supporting housekeeping standards within the workshop and operational areas
  • Liaising with production, management and fabrication teams when required

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within a Lead Fitter or Maintenance role
  • Background within manufacturing, processing or heavy industry environments
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems and PLCs
  • MIG welding experience advantageous
  • Ability to work proactively and prioritise workload effectively
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Forklift licence beneficial, although training can be provided
  • Shift Pattern
  • 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern
  • 2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts
  • 14-day rest break built into the rota across the 8-week cycle
