A well-established specialist contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their growing operational team across Lancashire.
The business delivers a range of earthworks, remediation and enabling works projects for major residential, commercial and industrial developments throughout the North West.

Your new role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and successful delivery of multiple earthworks and remediation projects across Lancashire.
You will manage site teams, subcontractors, plant operations and programme delivery whilst ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements.
Duties will include
- Managing day-to-day site operations across earthworks and remediation schemes.
- Coordinating labour, plant, subcontractors and material movements.
- Delivering projects in line with programme, budget and quality standards.
- Managing health, safety and environmental compliance on site.
- Overseeing bulk excavation, cut and fill operations, muck shift and site preparation activities.
- Producing site records, reports and progress updates.
- Liaising with clients, consultants and senior management teams.
- What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven background delivering earthworks and remediation projects in a Site Management capacity.
You will ideally possess
- Previous experience managing earthworks and remediation schemes.
- Knowledge of bulk excavation, cut and fill operations and material management.
- Experience working on contaminated land, enabling works or ground improvement projects.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to site safety and operational performance.
- Full UK driving licence.
Applications from candidates with a predominantly housebuilding background are unlikely to be suitable unless supported by significant earthworks or remediation experience.
