Your new role
As a People Advisor, you will provide operational HR support across the business, partnering with managers to deliver effective people solutions and best practice guidance.
You will manage a varied caseload of employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence management and long-term sickness cases.
You will also support organisational change initiatives, recruitment activities, policy implementation and continuous improvement projects.
Key responsibilities will include
- Advising managers on a full range of employee relations matters up to dismissal and appeal stage.
- Managing HR casework and maintaining accurate records within the HR system.
- Supporting recruitment campaigns, shortlisting, interviews and onboarding activities.
- Providing guidance on employment legislation, policies, pay and benefits.
- Supporting change management activity, including consultation, redeployment and redundancy processes.
- Producing and analysing HR data and reports to support decision-making.
- Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships and coaching managers on people management best practice.
- What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a generalist HR Advisory position with strong employee relations knowledge.
You will be confident supporting managers with complex people issues and have a sound understanding of UK employment law.
You will also have
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
- Previous recruitment and selection experience.
- Experience coaching and influencing managers.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience using HR systems and producing HR reports.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
