This role is to join an established team supporting a woman in her late 50s to live as independently as possible in her own home, and in the community.
You would be working with our client in her own home - a pet-free bungalow on a quiet cul-de-sac - within a team, but predominantly on a 1:1 basis.
Our client has an acquired Brian injury and some mobility issues.
She has a great sense of humour, is strong willed and knows what she likes.
She certainly likes to be out and about, and enjoys many different activities.
For example, she attends headway, and swimming, and enjoys the theatre.
She is currently focusing on losing weight too and does daily exercises with her support staff to help achieve this.
She also like to visit clothes shops, going for a coffee, and for walks. And further afield she enjoys holidays in Cleethorpes.
Some personal care is required with this role – like assisting our client to toilet, helping her get dressed and so on.
Plus you would need to perform domestic duties like cooking and cleaning.
Additionally, you would need to drive our client’s vehicle when required, and having your own car is important for getting to and from our client’s home for your shifts.
You need to be able to drive both automatic and manual vehicles, mainly for short local drives, but also for longer drives during holidays periods.
