The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to play a key role within our Residential Property team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with substantial conveyancing experience to take ownership of transactions, provide support and guidance to junior team members, and work closely with fee earners to drive matters forward efficiently. You will be a trusted point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, ensuring a high standard of service is maintained throughout the conveyancing process.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage a busy workload while contributing positively to team performance and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting fee earners with a varied and often complex caseload of residential conveyancing transactions
- Taking a leading role in managing transactions from instruction through to completion under appropriate supervision
- Acting as a key client contact and maintaining excellent client relationships throughout the transaction process
- Providing guidance and day-to-day support to junior paralegals and administrative team members
- Assisting with training, onboarding, and the sharing of best practice across the team
- Proactively progressing matters and identifying potential issues before they arise
- Preparing and reviewing correspondence, legal documents, forms, and reports
- Liaising confidently with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, financial advisers, and legal representatives
- Facilitating exchanges of contracts and coordinating completions
- Preparing financial statements, completion packs, Certificates of Title, and SDLT submissions
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to the efficient operation of the department
About You
- Significant experience within a residential conveyancing paralegal role
- Strong technical knowledge of the residential conveyancing process from instruction to completion
- Experience managing transactions with minimal supervision
- The ability to mentor, support, and develop junior team members
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Exceptional client care and relationship management skills
- Confidence communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
