Cura Staffing is recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants to provide high-quality temporary staffing support across care homes, nursing homes and other health and social care services in Sheffield.
This is a flexible agency role that allows you to choose shifts around your availability. Shifts may include days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
Responsibilities
- Supporting residents with personal care, washing, dressing and continence care
- Assisting with mobility, transfers and repositioning
- Supporting individuals with eating, drinking and nutrition
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and reporting concerns
- Completing accurate care notes and documentation
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments
- Supporting residents living with dementia, physical disabilities or complex care needs
- Maintaining dignity, privacy and confidentiality
- Following safeguarding, infection control and health and safety procedures
- Working effectively with permanent staff and other healthcare professionals
Applicants must have
- At least 12 months of recent UK experience in a healthcare or social care setting
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered with the DBS Update Service
- Up-to-date mandatory care training
- The legal right to work in the UKTwo satisfactory professional references
- A full three-year employment history, including explanations for any gaps
- A good understanding of person-centred care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to work professionally across different care environments
Applications cannot be progressed where the applicant’s DBS certificate is not registered with the DBS Update Service.
Previous experience within care homes, nursing homes, dementia care or complex care services is desirable.
