Job Overview: The Estates Data, Systems & Reporting (DSR) team’s mission is to serve as an agile enabler and assurer to DWP Estates in delivering its strategy through the whole data lifecycle for reliable, validated and assured data, systems and insight. This is in part achieved through delivery of the Estates Data Strategy, considering the DWP, DWP Data and DWP Estate Strategies in its formulation. The role focuses on data and reporting assurance, optimisation, systemisation and DWP Digital, Estates, Integrator and Supply chain collaboration.
Key accountabilities include:
- Support the day-to-day running of the Systems & Data team by ensuring the effective delivery of BAU reporting and data functions, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to align with DWP’s data strategy
- Gather and document business requirements from various departments, ensuring that report design and implementation meet the needs of the DWP Estates business
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate these into actionable data requirements, ensuring that all reporting outputs are accurate and timely
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting frameworks that support BAU processes, including the creation of dashboards and regular performance reports to monitor key metrics
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure that data systems are designed and implemented to support business requirements, including data integration and workflow automation
- Provide training and support to end-users on the use of reporting tools and systems, ensuring that they can effectively utilize the data to make informed business decisions
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of reporting processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency
- Support in the development of new reporting initiatives that support strategic business objectives, working closely with senior management to ensure alignment with overall business goals
