Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprentice, Willow Tree Day Care, Millhouse Green, Sheffield
We are a small team based in the picturesque countryside just outside of Penistone. We have a maximum of 35 children per day across two rooms with plans to extend.
We are seeking enthusiastic practitioners, to join our ever-expanding setting here at Willow Tree Day Care.
The successful applicant must have some knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stages and have a passion for working with children 0-5 years.
Duties include
- Providing high quality care, planning stimulating activities based on children's individual needs.
- Tracking and monitoring their progress through observation.
- You will ensure the children feel safe and secure and provide opportunities for them to learn both indoors and outdoors.
- The successful candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Supervising mealtimes and preparing snacks
• Lots of storytelling and playing!
- Preparing activities and resources
- Liaising with parents/carers
- Working as part of a team to develop areas in the playrooms
- Helping staff in care routines
- Some knowledge of safeguarding.
- This position is subject an enhanced DBS check.
Desirable: Maths and English grade 4/C or above
Or willingness to work towards functional skills in these areas
Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete Early Years Educator Level 3.
Regular mentoring and support from qualified chefs
Industry-recognised Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification upon successful completion.
Hands on experience in a busy kitchen.
