An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to join a leading global financial services organisation.
You'll play a key role within a high-profile platform team responsible for maintaining and evolving a large-scale Azure environment that underpins critical digital services used by colleagues and customers worldwide.
This is a hands-on senior engineering position where you will act as the Azure technical authority, driving platform improvements, infrastructure automation, governance compliance, and operational excellence across a complex enterprise estate.
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Extensive hands-on experience engineering and supporting Azure platforms in large-scale production environments.
- Expert-level Power Shell skills with a proven track record of developing reusable automation and tooling.
- Strong Azure networking knowledge, including VNets, NSGs, DNS, routing, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience managing VM image build and release processes using technologies such as Azure Image Builder, Packer, or Shared Image Galleries.
- Proven Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Strong understanding of Azure governance, policy implementation, RBAC, managed identities, and compliance controls.
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure, networking, and application issues within enterprise environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce technical documentation and mentor engineering teams.
