Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare. Nursing and AHP vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses/AHPs.

The MSK Physiotherapy service provides outpatient MSK services across Kent. We operate within four teams covering North Kent, Ashford, Canterbury and Thanet, South Kent Coast and West Kent. We are recruiting for posts in West Kent. Our team works in clinics across West Kent, Churchill Centre (Aylesford), Sevenoaks Hospital, Tonbridge Cottage Hospital, Hawkhurst Community Hospital and Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre. We provide outpatient MSK Physiotherapy services to the residents of our local area while working closely with our colleagues in other areas to provide a Kent wide service.

We form part of the Integrated Musculoskeletal (IMSK) service which incorporates the Community Orthopaedic and First Contact Practitioner team and the Community Chronic Pain team. Your main responsibilities will include managing a clinical caseload of musculoskeletal patients as an autonomous practitioner both virtually and face to face. Developing and maintaining a high level of skill and knowledge in all areas of clinical practice supported by your clinical supervisor and supporting junior colleagues.

We provide musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy to the local population working in community hospital physiotherapy departments and outreach clinics. We run a hybrid model of face to face and virtual consultations. The post holder will provide comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment and treatment of outpatients. A Band 6 Health Care Professional (HCP) will effectively and efficiently manage a complex caseload of musculoskeletal patients while assisting in the education and training of physiotherapy colleagues, apprentices, assistants and students.

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026.
