We are looking for experienced candidates to join our service team, as we have just been awarded a 10-year national contract by one of our established customers and need to expand our experienced service team. The main purpose of the role would be the co-ordination of our service work, which involves scheduling engineering staff, arranging visits with customers, and handling reactive call-out works, as well as some general administration tasks.
Our service department can be a fast-paced and dynamic environment, so the successful candidate would need to be enthusiastic, flexible, adaptable, and well-organised. Full training for all aspects of this position will be provided to the right candidate. The working hours are 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday at our Bognor Regis head office.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following abilities:
- A flexible and adaptable approach
- Good team working and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and use own initiative
- Good level of numeracy, with accuracy being key when working to tight deadlines
- A basic understanding of fire alarms and security systems would be useful but not essential
The duties that the successful candidate will be assisting with and being trained to carry out may include the following:
- Planning of maintenance visits within required timescales
- Planning of remedial works visits
- Planning of call outs
- Dealing with straightforward technical issues
- Preparing quotations for remedial works following call out and planned maintenance
- Administering customer correspondence – arranged visit, missed visit, welcome letters, etc.
- Ensuring the customer is always informed and up to date
- Administration of engineers' paperwork/certification
- Creation of new and renewal service contracts
- Updating various customer portals
£25,331.33 to £30,962.54 per year, pro rata
