An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Service Support Officer to be recruited to the Corporate Service Support structure. This is a full-time permanent position, which will provide an agile administrative support function across the Authority, with a particular focus on high-quality bilingual minute taking.

About the Role:

The role will primarily be providing support to the Through Age Safeguarding Service, with one of the primary responsibilities focusing on confidential minute taking to support functions such as Adult Protection, Child Protection and Fostering Panel. There will also be a wider requirement to provide support with HR Disciplinary Meetings and other complex multi-agency meetings, as the need requires.

About the Candidate:

We are seeking a candidate who is educated to NVQ 4 in Business Admin or has equivalent experience. Four years’ experience of working within an administrative setting, with a strong background in minute taking will be essential. You must have good IT skills and a methodical approach to work, with excellent attention to detail. The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and work within multi-disciplinary teams will also be important.

The candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable as there will be the requirement for the post holder to move between teams, dependent on service needs and to manage increased workloads. The ability to meet the required Welsh language ALTE levels will also be essential.

We believe work-life balance is very important. To support you in achieving this, you will have access to the following discretionary benefits:

  • Hybrid Working: Subject to certain conditions being met, you may choose to work from home or in an office location.
  • Flexi-time: Hours may be worked within a defined bandwidth, Monday to Friday, subject to service needs.
