You'll be joining a global financial services organization currently investing heavily in cloud transformation, platform engineering and DevOps capability. With major programmes underway across cloud infrastructure and cyber remediation, this is an opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team delivering modern, cloud-native solutions at scale.
Your new role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining a modern AWS platform, supporting critical cloud infrastructure and driving DevOps best practice across the engineering function. You'll work closely with developers and platform teams to automate deployments, improve resilience, enhance observability and deliver secure, scalable cloud environments. This is a hands-on role focused on infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation and cloud engineering rather than software development.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC and CloudWatch
- Proven experience with Kubernetes, ideally EKS
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience
- Expertise building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
- Python and/or Bash scripting experience
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana
- Strong understanding of cloud security and networking principles
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Financial services experience is beneficial but not essential
