An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery to cover secondment of the current post holder for 12 months. You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of pharmacy services to the neurology, neurosurgery and adult metabolic services. This is an opportunity to gain experience in a pioneering hospital which is expanding and developing new areas in research, service development and education.
We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic pharmacist with knowledge, skills, and experience in general medicine and surgery who are looking to develop specialist knowledge to support and develop the high-quality pharmacy service to NHNN. The NHNN Pharmacy team provides a comprehensive range of services aimed at ensuring safe, effective, and economical use of medicines.
Your principal job role will focus on direct patient care, applying your therapeutics knowledge and skills to ensure our patients receive safe and effective medication. You will act as a clinical role model to junior staff, providing professional leadership, support, and guidance in clinical practice. You will also work as part of our broader clinical pharmacy team and contribute to local and national initiatives to develop and enhance the pharmacy service and medicines management across the Trust.
You will contribute to the delivery of educational and developmental programmes, including the Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice, and our trainee pharmacist programme.
