Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to work as Senior Clinical Fellows in our Community team in North Kingston IRH. This role is on our Acacia Unit in Tolworth Hospital. This is for Full time (40 hours per week) post. The post is being offered at the equivalent of Core Trainee level, and the appointment would be at a grade based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant. The post will be for 6 months ending on 2 Feb 2027 to cover a gap in the Resident Doctor rotation. However, there may be a possibility that the post may be extended, subject to availability and funding.
As this is a short term role, there is no offer of sponsorship for a Skilled Worker visa. Prospective applicants must ensure that they already have a right to live and work in the UK. Successful applicants will work at Tolworth Hospital, as part of an MDT. The clinical supervisor will be the community consultant. The team also has an FY1 and CT Doctor.
The post is suitable for doctors at several stages of their career including Post Foundation Year 2, doctors seeking attainment of specific expertise in an FY3 year, or an additional clinical post while they obtain MRCPsych qualifications. The post will also suit doctors seeking to enhance their portfolio to gain entry to the training grades and doctors already in non-training Grade positions e.g. SAS doctors or Trust Fellows who are seeking a formal educational structure to their posts.
Training, educational opportunities and appraisal will be available to successful candidates, including attendance at the weekly academic programme. Successful candidates will be required to take part in the Day on call duty rota (DOC). There is no out of hours on-call duty for this role. However, there may be an opportunity to take part in the on-call rota to cover gaps, if desired and subject to availability.

This 5 / 6-month Senior Clinical Fellow (SCF) post is offered from August 2026 at Core Trainee or Higher Trainee (or equivalent level). The appointment would be at a salary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant. Successful applicants will work as ward doctors in friendly, modern in-patient environments.
