A Career Built on Impact, Not Just Academics

We are seeking dedicated 1:1 Support Assistants to work within EYFS, KS1, and KS2 settings. This role is ideal for those passionate about child development, neurodiversity, and mental health. You will support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and Speech and Language.

Nurture & Growth: Witness the incredible "firsts" - from a child making eye contact to successfully navigating a social interaction. This is the perfect springboard for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, or Primary Teachers.

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy typical school hours (approx. 8:30 am - 3:30 pm) with no "take-home" work or weekend commitments.

Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates, paid every Friday.

Your Role as a Developmental Mentor

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you aren't just an extra pair of hands; you are a child's advocate and guide. Implement tailored activities to meet EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets, ensuring the curriculum is accessible and fun.

Sensory & Visual Learning: Utilise creative tools such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), "Now & Next" boards, and sensory breaks to reduce anxiety and promote engagement.

Holistic Care: Support children with social skills, emotional regulation, and personal care needs where required (full training provided). Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to create a safe, inclusive, and high-energy learning environment. We value resilience, empathy, and character above all else.

You are an ideal fit if you:

  • Are Naturally Patient: You celebrate the "small wins" and understand that every child's timeline is unique.
  • Have Relevant Experience: This could be from a school, nursery, healthcare, or even personal lived experience with SEND. You can build trust quickly with young children and maintain professional links with parents and staff.
  • You hold an enhanced DBS (or are willing to apply) and are 100% dedicated to Safeguarding and child welfare.
