SEND Job Coach

This is a full‑time, all year round role, working 37 hours per week.

Location: Interviews will take place on‑site at one of our Weston-super-Mare campuses. You may be based at any of our Weston-super-Mare campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out high‑quality Initial Needs Assessments and Vocational Profiling, and other assessments to establish support needs and track progress toward successful outcomes.
  • Proactively deliver Job Coaching, implement the SEND Code of Practice, and adhere to the Supported Employment National Occupational Standards.
  • Plan and review individual programmes of support to ensure all aspects of the student's Education Health and Care Plan are in place and progress is tracked.
  • Maintain close liaison with the EHCP Coordinator to ensure a seamless process of applying for an EHCP, produce required documentation, and meet statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognised LDD or SEND qualification (or willingness to gain a qualification within two years with College support).
  • Successful learning support and job coaching experience with evidence of sustainable paid employment outcomes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of learning difficulties and disabilities and their impact on learning, gaining, and sustaining paid employment.
  • Experience with current evidence‑based job coaching and learning strategies.
