Duties as SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with SEND needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Adapt resources and strategies to meet individual learning requirements
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Monitor and record pupil progress and report to the teacher
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and external professionals
- Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Ideal SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential
- Experience working in a primary school setting
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND needs on a one-to-one basis
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
