Duties as SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for pupils with SEND needs
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Adapt resources and strategies to meet individual learning requirements
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
  • Monitor and record pupil progress and report to the teacher
  • Work closely with parents, teachers, and external professionals
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Ideal SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential
  • Experience working in a primary school setting
  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND needs on a one-to-one basis
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
