The predicted salary is between 22500 - 27500 £ per year.

You will be supporting pupils in Barnet and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and develop essential social, emotional, and academic skills.

Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Assist teachers in delivering differentiated and accessible learning activities
  • Help implement individual education plans and behaviour support strategies
  • Support pupils with personal care needs where required
  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Monitor pupil progress and share observations with staff
  • Contribute to wider school life during longer-term placements

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • Understanding of strategies for supporting needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficulties
  • Ability to build positive and nurturing relationships with pupils
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • Adaptability across different classrooms and school settings
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and development
