Security Officer - Average 54 hours per week - Days & Nights

CIS Security have an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to join our team at a modern waterside workspace close to Canada Water station.

The Security Officer will provide a professional, proactive presence on site, ensuring a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, and contractors.

You will deliver consistently high standards of safety, vigilance, and customer care while acting as an ambassador for CIS Security.

This is an active and visible role requiring excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a calm, confident approach.

You’ll support day-to-day operations, uphold best practice, and contribute to a positive experience for everyone on the estate.

Information: Position: Security Officer

Shifts: Nights & Weekend Days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Nights, Sat & Sun Days Job Requirements:

  • SIA Licence (DS or SG) required.
  • CCTV security experience preferable
  • Excellent PC skills and Microsoft knowledge required.
  • Experience of working in a demanding, high-pressure environment
  • Customer focused, with a strong knowledge of customer service skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong aptitude for multi-tasking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Team player, who will support colleagues and provide ideas to improve service delivery.
  • Ability to think and act quickly in emergency incidents or under pressure.

Job Responsibilities

  • Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users.
  • Maintain a visible, approachable presence across internal and external areas, including waterside walkways and shared spaces.
  • Provide friendly, professional and courteous customer service, ensuring visitors and staff are supported efficiently and expectations are met.
  • Maintain awareness of the wider estate environment
  • Able to work in a team as well as on your own and have the ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative
  • Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift
  • Confident in writing incident and shift reports
  • The ability to be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative
  • To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language.
  • To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, providing an exceptional customer service at all times ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded.
  • The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, Conducting emergency procedures.
  • To have a smart appearance befitting the company
  • Be confident you are able to undertake 100% of all specific duties
  • Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information?requested
