Security Manager - 50 hours per week - Days
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Security Manager to lead, manage and develop the Security team at a high-profile, multi-tenanted corporate building in the heart of the City.
The site operates across several floors, with a steady flow of visitors, contractors and occupiers, requiring a proactive, visible and well-coordinated security presence.
In this role, you will oversee all areas of security and maintain close working relationships across the building.
You will ensure the team consistently delivers high standards by monitoring performance against agreed customer KPIs and embedding robust performance-management processes to achieve these goals.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the security operation runs in line with site policies and procedures, while keeping the customer fully briefed and updated on any security-related matters that arise.

- Job Requirements
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence required.
- Must have proven management experience of at least 5 years, at a large multi skilled team of not less than 20 personnel.
- Ability to organise and motivate team of supervisors to guarantee optimum performance of the wider security team.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
- Ability to coordinate and provide strategic direction to an administrative back-office function.
- Gravitas and Resilience to work through complex requirements.
- The ability to compile and understand statistics and reports to a high strategic level.
- Leadership and ability to follow plans through to completion.
- To be well versed in Employment Law and maximising employee performance
- Experience of security risk assessment, physical security planning
- Presentation skills (ability to develop and deliver formal presentations)
- Time management & Organisational skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills, including report writing.
- Attention to detail is imperative and auditing skills are an advantage.
- Flexibility, reliability & being able to workdays / nights & weekends to suit the needs of the contract.
- Job Responsibilities
- Liaise and maintain good customer service relationships with site staff, visitors, customers and management team.
To manage an effective working relationship with all, whilst representing the site and CIS-Security Ltd.
- Manage and maintain the Site Operational Working Roster. Amend and implement any changes as required daily.
- Maintain effective communication, both verbal and written, always ensuring the customer is aware of all operational developments.
- Carry out any tasks and report back as directed or instructed by the customer or CIS Management.
- Effectively manage On Site Security Operations ensuring that Officers are working in line with Site Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure the customer is fully briefed and updated regarding any security issues that arise.
- Assist in Security investigations into any loss, damage or other incidents affecting property, visitors or staff.
- Focus on Team Building, training and development of staff from all site-based service partners.
- Manage, Record, and Deliver, Site Training as required to all Officers in line with Customer / CIS requirements.
Site training to be performed during weekdays wherever possible and the Site Training Matrix must be maintained and managed.
- Attend meetings as requested by the customer and make representation at weekly site meetings.
- Oversee the collation of Sickness / lateness records daily and update ready for performance related meetings and monthly reporting.
- Conduct fact find and disciplinary meetings - Assisting with official investigations and take meeting minutes.
- General Responsibilities
- Ensure all contract manning requirements are managed and met on a weekly basis; and arrange response cover as required in liaison with CIS Control Room.
- Manage and implement all requests for additional security cover and where necessary obtain only additional trained staff.
- Ensure that all contractual requirements are fulfilled daily and maintain up to date records.
- Demonstrate proactive management of the Security Team.
- Provide relief / break cover for Security Officers if required.
- Ensure all Logbooks and Registers are maintained in accordance with the Company and the Customer requirements.
- Ensure the Assignment Instructions are maintained / in date and staff are fully aware of any changes to policies and procedures immediately.
- Ensure that all security personnel under your management are fully acquainted with the Assignment Instructions, Emergency Procedures and any other instructions issued by CIS / Customer.
- Set high personal standards for others to follow.
- Maintain a good level of morale and discipline within the team taking into consideration their welfare.
- Ensure that all staff are regularly briefed.
- Liaise with the Customer and CIS Account Manager on all matters relating to the security of the premises, including, reporting on matters of discipline and welfare.
- Ensure that an effective handover takes place at the end of the night shift with the
- Site
Manager: and, that all Keys, Equipment and Documentation are properly accounted for.
This should be recorded in a separate log.
Any discrepancies, faults or malfunctions should be immediately reported to the CIS Account Manager.
- Communicate all matters in writing and verbally to all members of staff ensuring continuity.
