Managing the provision of security services at a busy University campus.
An experienced security manager, you'll work closely with the Regional Manager to lead a team of supervisors, officers and specialists to deliver services to client requirements.
With full responsibility for operational performance, you will ensure that your teams are recruited, trained, briefed and deployed to provide an effective security presence.
You will also use your strong IT skills to maintain and organise systems and records including rotas, monthly reports, budgets and payroll.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you'll work closely with client representatives, visitors and colleagues to investigate, understand and resolve problems.
You will also support your team by carrying out 'hands-on' operational activities if required.
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 19:00, but you will need to be flexible to manage and support your team. Site visits on nights and weekends will be required.
You will carry out a range of duties including
- To be responsible for the performance of the company's operation at set location and to control the activities of employees within the company's policy and procedures.
- Overall responsibility for ensuring the Team carry out all aspects of their duties to the required standard and on time
- Ensure that assignment instructions (at each designated location) and control room procedures/instructions are kept up to date and that all relevant parties are informed (re-trained as appropriate) of changes.
- Overall responsibility to ensure that drills, refresher/initial training and re-training are carried out to the required specification and in according to the yearly plan.
- Approval of rosters, ensuring that the roster complies with the working time directive, all posts are filled using ICTS qualified personnel, that adequate reserves are trained and that contingency plans for absences (authorised and unauthorised) are maintained at all times - making the Shift Supervisors aware of these plans and how to implement them.
- Maintenance of good relations with local Emergency Services.
- Ensuring of the ICTS (UK) Ltd personnel are appraised annually.
- Reporting to the Regional Manager on all activities for the month to include financial reports, nonconformities, Incidents, disciplinary actions, training, staffing levels, leavers, new recruits, etc.
- Prepare and submit monthly invoices in accordance with ICTS instructions.
- Maintenance of standards & discipline of the Security Team.
- Overall responsibility of maintaining up to date personnel and training records on all members of the security team.
Liaison with ICTS personnel department to keep their records up to date.
- On call 24/7 and able to handle out of hours issues (out of hours alarm activations, sick calls, additional client requests
- Use of client internal systems in relation to Invoicing and other financial duties
- Organise and liaise with the on-site team to complete Monthly reports
- Recruit and organise a relief officers' team that would be able to cover holidays, sick calls and additional hours request
- Maintain and manage client expectations, delivering a great service
- Innovate and bring added value to the contract
- Develop working relationships with Europeans colleagues
- Management experience is essential, and to succeed in this role you will also need:
- Strong customer service skills and experience
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
- Good IT and administration skills
- Five years' checkable history and references
- To pass a criminal records check (CRC) to the required standards
