This is an exciting opportunity for you to join an established charity that has an excellent reputation locally as a trusted partner and as a great place to work. You'll be based at our main office in Scunthorpe Central, supporting the Advice Supervisors to manage our day-to-day operations while providing administrative support across our client-facing services.

This is a busy and varied role, and you'll often be the first point of contact for our clients and partners. You'll play a key role in assessing people's needs, identifying urgent issues, completing debt assessments, managing incoming and outgoing client correspondence, and ensuring people receive the right support at the right time.

Your work will help clients move as quickly as possible towards resolving their problems, placing them in control of their own journey through the use of tools, assisted information and directed self-help. You'll help people to understand their rights and responsibilities, supporting them to engage with both internal and external services through active signposting and supported referrals.

By understanding each client's individual circumstances, you'll help ensure they access the right service, in the right place, at the right time, preventing problems from escalating wherever possible. You’ll be part of a small but committed team with big ambitions that works collaboratively and effectively to deliver outstanding services for local people.

You’ll be an important and valued member of the team and, with the support of Citizens Advice North Lincolnshire, will be responsible for delivering person-centred outcomes in a busy and sometimes pressurised environment. Citizens Advice North Lincolnshire is an open, supportive and progressive employer who recognises that people bring a wide range of transferable skills, experiences and perspectives.

We're not necessarily looking for someone with previous experience in the advice sector. If you're organised, empathetic and committed to providing person-centred support in a non-judgemental way, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

As an organisation, we are committed to developing modern and flexible ways of working that support both wellbeing and high performance. We operate a 4 Day Working Week model, enabling staff to work 80% of contracted hours while maintaining 100% pay, with an expectation of delivering agreed outcomes and performance. Subject to achieving competence and organisational requirements, the successful candidate will be eligible to opt into the scheme.

We believe this approach creates a healthier, more sustainable working environment while enabling us to continue delivering outstanding services for local people.
