Scrub Practitioner- ELCH Main theatres/ Children's Day Surgery Unit
To provide expert and efficient support to the Surgeons and other members of the surgical team during surgery/ other procedures.
To be knowledgeable and trained in the differentsurgical specialist equipmentavailable and ensure that they are in good working condition.
Independently manage a group of patients within the speciality whilstworking as part of the MDT, delivering individualised and personalised direct patient care.
Demonstrate appropriate practice and adherence to Trust standards, values and behaviours and policiesin fulfilling patient care.
Be responsible forrecognising and responding to emergenciesin the speciality.
To interpret information and take appropriate action and to lead others to do the same.
Ensure that patients receivehigh quality clinical care and a good patient experience, having regard for their customs, religious beliefs and doctrines.
To provide excellent aseptic techniquewhilst scrubbing and promotes good Infection Prevention and Control.
