As a SCPHN Health Visitor, you will join our Child & Family Wellbeing Service in Warwickshire, playing a vital role in improving outcomes for children and families across your local community. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead and deliver the Healthy Child Programme, helping to give every child the best possible start in life. You will work proactively with families from pregnancy through the early years, delivering evidence-based public health interventions, reducing health inequalities and supporting children to thrive. Main Responsibilities
- Act as the public health lead within a defined locality, delivering the Healthy Child Programme and supporting children and families through universal, targeted and specialist interventions.
- Assess health needs, identify risks and implement evidence-based interventions that improve outcomes and promote wellbeing.
- Manage a caseload of children and families, including those requiring additional safeguarding, child protection or targeted support.
- Work autonomously and as part of a wider skill mix team, coordinate care, delegate appropriately and ensure families receive a personalised service that meets their needs.
- Provide leadership within the team, support learners and colleagues, contribute to service development and champion innovative approaches that improve outcomes for children and families across Warwickshire.

Person Specification
Essential:
- Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification.
- Current NMC registration on the third part of the register.
- Experience leading and working within Health Visiting teams.
- Experience delivering interventions that improve outcomes for children and families.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Practice Assessor or Practice Supervisor qualification.
- Working knowledge of the Healthy Child Programme and public health approaches.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Confidence using electronic patient records and IT systems.
Desirable:
- Qualification in leadership or innovative practice.
- Experience of supporting or developing teams.
- Experience presenting service outcomes or public health information to stakeholders.
- Experience setting goals and delivering outcome-focused interventions.
- Involvement in service development or quality improvement initiatives.
