Hays Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and friendly primary school on the Wirral to recruit a School Administrator for a temporary support role starting in September. Initially lasting for 4 weeks, this position is covering sickness absence and therefore has the potential to be extended depending on the school's ongoing requirements. This is a part-time, afternoon-only position working 1:00pm to 3:30pm each day, making it ideal for someone based locally who is looking for flexible working hours within a school environment.
Your new role
- Providing front-of-house reception support
- Greeting parents, visitors and pupils in a professional manner
- Answering and directing telephone calls
- Managing emails and general enquiries
- Updating pupil records and school data systems
- Supporting with attendance and administrative tasks
- Assisting the wider office team with general administration duties
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous administration experience, ideally within a school or education setting
- Experience using school systems such as Arbor & School Spider would be highly desirable to hit the ground running
- Experience using SIMs or Bromcom would be advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A professional, friendly and approachable manner
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
