Summary
We are looking for a Personal Support Assistant to support a 15‑year‑old young man with his morning and afternoon regimes at his home in Seamer, Scarborough.
Responsibilities
- Morning support: help him get up, wash, dress, and provide personal care, prepare and serve breakfast, and accompany him to and from the taxi with his escort.
- Afternoon support: stay at his home to supervise and assist him with personal care as needed, and facilitate his chosen activities after the taxi return.
- Holiday day‑care: organise and accompany the young man on outings such as garden centres, the beach, library, swimming and family days.
- Build a positive relationship through chat, singing and verbal interaction, creating a rewarding experience for both parties.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children who have extreme or unique special needs.
- DBS check required.
- Access to relevant training courses is available.
