Critical Care at our Salford site is expanding with opportunities across our Service. This expansion means an increase in staffing across our Critical Care service at Band 5 level and we are seeking Registered Nurses who are experienced in Critical Care or new to Critical Care, to join us and our growing multi-disciplinary teams.
Registered Nurses working within our services have progressed to higher band roles within the service including Specialist Nursing roles, Advanced Critical Care Practitioner, Specialist Nursing in Organ Donation and multiple other specialist roles. We are passionate to support and grow our workforce to maximise their potential to benefit Patients, Staff and the wider services.
Our commitment to you:
- Experienced nurse leadership to support you and your team when you need it.
- Specialist Critical Care Induction & Education Programmes for all new starters and advanced programmes once experienced.
- A Unit based, experienced MDT to provide a fully holistic approach to patient care.
- All staff are required (and supported) to undertake a post registration qualification in Critical Care which is accredited by Manchester Metropolitan University at degree or master’s level which is fully funded.
- Flexibility – Full and part time contracts are available within a 12-hour rotational shift pattern (days & Nights) at Salford and a range of shifts covering earlies, lates, twilights and nights at Bury.
Welcoming you to our team:
We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals, who work well under pressure and are keen to learn. A great team player, you will also be self-motivated and able to work independently when needed. You will be a professional who truly understands the need for care, consideration and respect for our patients but can also apply these qualities to team members at all levels.
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. As a large NHS trust we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners.
We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we’re always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate and inspire – to join our team. In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction.
By joining us you can also access a competitive benefits package, including a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role. The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
