We are looking for a motivated and skilled Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to join our Orthopaedic Occupational Therapy / Physiotherapy team at Salford Royal Hospital. In this role, you will work with patients presenting with a wide range of Orthopaedic rehabilitation needs. You will be involved in early rehabilitation, functional activity assessments and practice, equipment assessment and provision, splinting, and discharge planning within a fast‑paced, supportive MDT.
You will be working in a large OT / Physio Orthopaedic team which consists of Band 7, 6 and 5 OT's and Physio's, Therapy Assistant and Apprentice OT. The Orthopaedic Therapy team is known for its commitment to high‑quality care, innovation, and professional development. You will be part of a friendly, expert MDT and have access to excellent CPD opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the identification of health and social care needs and participating in the delivery and evaluation of interventions developed to meet those needs under indirect supervision of a registered health or social care professional.
- Working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team within the critical care and acute ward settings.
- Maintaining clinical skill and competencies by working within both acute and rehabilitation functions of the service.
- Providing supervision and assessment for more junior staff or those undergoing NVQ.
