This position would suit an experienced Assistant Site Manager who is ready to take greater responsibility and progress into a Site Manager role.
Working for an established medium-sized residential contractor, you will support the successful delivery of new-build housing projects while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
The company is looking for someone dependable with a stable employment history and at least two to three years' experience in residential construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of residential construction projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors and trades to maintain programme deadlines.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure completed work meets the required quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and identify defects or potential delays.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety across the development.
- Assist with short-term programme planning and resource coordination.
- Manage site records including inspections and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Support customer care activities and the timely resolution of defects.
- Take increasing responsibility for sections of the development as your experience grows.

- Demonstrate at least two to three years' experience as an Assistant Site Manager.
- Possess experience working for a residential housebuilder or residential contractor.
- Show a stable and consistent employment history.
- Understand new-build residential construction methods and site processes.
- Hold a valid SMSTS or SSSTS qualification.
- Hold a valid CSCS card.
- Possess a current First Aid at Work qualification.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills.
- Manage subcontractors confidently and professionally.
- Show the ambition and capability to progress into a Site Manager position.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
