Metal Deburrer / Finisher to remove burrs, sharp edges and excess material from metal components following machining, cutting, stamping or fabrication processes. You will ensure components are finished to a high standard and meet required quality specifications. This role would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work and can work independently.

Location: Ruislip, London

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deburr and finish metal components using hand tools, files, grinders, rotary tools and other equipment
  • Remove sharp edges, burrs, excess material and surface imperfections from finished parts
  • Inspect components to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Work from drawings, specifications and written work instructions
  • Use basic measuring and inspection equipment where required
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area
  • Follow company health and safety procedures at all times
  • Wear required PPE and work safely around machinery and metal products
  • Report quality issues or equipment faults to the Supervisor / Team Leader
  • Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with all employees
  • Support other manufacturing functions during peak periods
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Enjoys practical, hands-on work and can work independently
  • Experience working with steel, stainless steel, aluminium or other metals
  • Experience using grinders, files, rotary tools or other deburring equipment
  • Previous experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of quality control and inspection procedures
