An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and focused RTT Administration Team Leader to join the GI Services Team. The Division incorporates surgical and medical specialties that manage diseases and disorders of the digestive system. The role is responsible for the careful management of RTT, and DM01 pathways and Validation processes attached to patient pathways.
You will work closely with the Validation team and Specialty Admin teams to oversee RTT and diagnostic pathways to ensure that the timeline data for patients on the waiting list is accurate and appropriately reflects the patients’ current position on the pathway. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a drive and energy to improve the patient experience and ensure Validation compliance. Knowledge of 18-week Referral-To-Treatment pathways and DM01 Diagnostic Waiting Time Standards is crucial to this role. The ideal candidate will have a patient centred approach and experience of working within a busy NHS team, ideally with strong management or supervisory experience.
- Provide an efficient and effective administrative service to a multidisciplinary team, acting as a source of expert advice and support for troubleshooting non-routine matters or resolving initial complaints.
- Responsible for monitoring RTT DQ Reports, Waiting Lists and capacity within services, proactively acting upon issues and working with more senior managers and the clinical team to resolve them, in order to ensure access and quality targets are met for the service.
- Supervise and support a team of Administration Assistants and Administration Coordinators to provide an effective, efficient and high quality administrative service, with a focus on customer service.
- Responsible for monitoring team performance information, targets and quality measures, and embedding good working practices within the administrative team.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and change projects with the overall aim to ensure maximum utilisation of resources and excellent patient experience.
- Review performance data, trends, and processes, and using analysis and judgement to identify and propose opportunities for development and improvement.
