Monday to Friday (Saturday's also available) - £20.17 per hour inclusive of your holiday pay.

Shifts and Hours:

  • Monday to Friday - no weekends!
  • Start Time: 06:00 am
  • 8 hours guaranteed per shift

This role is commutable from: Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Banbury, Kenilworth, Wellesbourne, Stratford-upon-Avon, Southam and the other surrounding areas.

GI Group are recruiting for a Class 1 Driver for a position with our client based in Leamington Spa. The ideal candidate will be placed with our well-established client as a temporary worker, to support with their peak between now and Christmas. The Class 1 Driver will be placed on a temporary contract.

The Role:

This role consists of multi-drop delivery work consisting of packaging distribution, normally two runs with an average of 4-6 drops per shift. The driver is responsible for transporting palletised packaging across England, there will be no handball duties, all deliveries will be unloaded by an FLT at delivery point. Drivers are responsible for ensuring safe loading and operation of the vehicle, undertaking vehicle checks to ensure safety and to prevent breakdowns and complying with driving regulations. This is a temporary position, and training will be provided on the job. The driver will need to be confident in completing vehicle checks and completing any required defects paperwork.

The Perfect Candidate:

  • Will hold a Class 1/LGV C+E licence entitlement
  • Will hold a valid CPC and Tachograph
  • Will have a minimum of 2 years' Class 1 experience
  • Will be over 25 years of age for insurance purposes
  • Will be flexible and able to remain calm under pressure
  • Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills and an attention to detail is essential.
