The predicted salary is between 29120 - 30240 £ per year.

Pay rate: Weekdays £14.00 days, and Weekdays Nights £14.50, Weekend Nights & Days £14.50.

Contract: 1 x 36hrs on both days and waking nights (Monday to Sunday).

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated female support worker to assist a gentleman in his late 30s who is living with a spinal injury and is paralysed from the chest down. He is a clear communicator and uses an eye-gaze device for typing emails and messages. Full support is required with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and bowel management.

You will be working in a well-adapted home where he lives with his wife and their 8-month-old baby. They are a fun-loving family with a great sense of humour who enjoy spending quality time together. They also have a passion for hobbies such as shooting and visiting local attractions.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing high-quality 1:1 support tailored to individual needs.
  • Supporting with all aspects of daily living, including personal care and bowel care management.
  • Assisting with routine household tasks to maintain a calm and organised home environment.
  • Encouraging and enabling participation in meaningful activities at home and in the community.
  • Supporting communication using assistive technology.

Experience and Skills of a Support Worker:

  • A caring, patient, and reliable individual.
  • Experience in complex care (including spinal injury and bowel care – desirable but training can be provided).
  • A positive attitude and a good sense of humour.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential).
