Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a well-established waste management and recycling company based in East Lothian.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and experienced driver looking for stable, full-time work with consistent hours and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
The Role
As a Class 2 Skip Driver, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating a Class 2 skip vehicle safely and efficiently
- Delivering, exchanging and collecting skips from commercial and domestic customers
- Working across East Lothian and the surrounding areas
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring skips and loads are handled and transported safely
- Completing all work in line with company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times
Monday to Friday
6:15am start
Minimum 40 hours per week guaranteed
Overtime opportunities available
Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate
PAYE
£15.00 per hour
£19.99 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
£16.81 per hour
£22.40 per hour after 8 hours
