Using occupation as the foundation, and with an emphasis on rehabilitation, recovery, and empowerment, you will contribute to the delivery of assessments, individualised interventions, and therapy/care planning as part of the team. You will be the key worker for a defined number of patients whose primary need is for Occupational Therapy intervention.
If you are a person centred, compassionate Occupational Therapist with experience of working with complex patients experiencing mental health difficulties, then we would welcome your application to join us. The job is varied and challenging and offers the opportunity to be an integral part of the Older Peoples Home Treatment Pathway.
Key elements of the post include:

- Supervising junior staff/support staff to deliver community interventions enabling patients to develop and/or maintain independent living skills and work towards individual recovery goals.
- Developing links with statutory and voluntary sector community resources and ensuring that ongoing occupational needs are addressed as part of a safe effective discharge/transfer process.
The Allied Health Professionals and occupational therapy network within the organisation is supportive, providing opportunities for collaboration and participation in development of practice and services and to build your own knowledge base and experience. The trust also encourages staff to be involved in wider integrated professional workstreams and development opportunities.
