The predicted salary is between 37035 - 45265 £ per year.

To ensure the provision of Occupational Therapy approaches in the treatment of women with perinatal mental health problems, focussing primarily on the assessment of functional needs.

Manage a caseload for women who are referred to the Perinatal Mental Health Service.

To carry out initial assessments and the planning of group and individual therapy interventions in collaboration with adults who have a diagnosis of Perinatal Mental Health Service.

To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

To regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placement.

To provide leadership for junior staff, as delegated by the supervisor.

To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy Service within the Perinatal Mental Health Service.

To participate in the delivery of training and consultancy for other therapists and practitioners working with the Perinatal Mental Health Service across the region.

To select and apply Occupational Therapy Assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skill deficits, enabling the client in areas of self-maintenance, productivity and leisure.

To undertake generic initial assessments and collaboratively identify with the client priorities for therapy.

To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of work.

To undertake the OT assessment of clients using investigative and analytical skills to formulate individual treatment plans.

To accept clinical responsibility under supervision for a designated case load some with complex presentations prioritising need and taking on the role of co-ordinator where relevant.

To plan and implement client-centred individual and group interventions, using clinical reasoning and a range of treatment interventions to achieve therapeutic goals.

To monitor, evaluate and modify treatment for clients in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.
