East London office and reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the Estimator will be responsible for preparing robust time and cost estimates for new work enquiries within an established medium-sized main contractor.
The role will involve pricing a diverse range of opportunities, including high-value, long-term contracts and framework agreements, alongside one-off projects typically ranging from

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Operational and Commercial teams to develop competitive and commercially robust proposals.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of enquiry documentation, including site assessments, specifications and contract terms.
- Manage multiple tenders and enquiries simultaneously, ensuring all submissions are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Keep estimating, pipeline and reporting systems fully up to date.
- Analyse enquiries within established estimating and tendering frameworks, identifying commercial and delivery risks and developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to develop new business.
- Maintain a commercially focused and customer-led approach throughout the tender process.
About You
- Previous experience working as an Estimator, Estimator/Quantity Surveyor or Tendering professional within the construction industry.
- Experience pricing long-term service contracts and framework agreements.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness with a strong understanding of cost efficiency and risk.
- Good IT skills, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge and experience of JCT and NEC contract submissions.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A collaborative team player who can work effectively across Operational, Commercial and other internal departments.
