This is an opportunity to work on large scale projects, collaborate with senior stakeholders and help shape the future of how the Council delivers services.

You'll join a supportive and ambitious team where you'll have the freedom to take ownership, build strong relationships and deliver meaningful outcomes.

What you'll be doing

As a Project Manager, you'll lead projects from initial concept through to implementation and handover into service. You'll work closely with stakeholders, suppliers and project teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and provide lasting benefits.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of digital and business change projects.
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, governance and reporting.
  • Managing project budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Supporting procurement, implementation and transition activities.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Providing clear communication, leadership and delivery assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Helping services adopt and embed change successfully.

About you

You'll have experience delivering projects through the full lifecycle and be confident managing competing priorities, influencing stakeholders and working across organisational boundaries. Whether your experience has been gained in local government, the public sector or elsewhere, you'll be passionate about delivering positive change and improving services.

You'll bring:

  • Experience managing projects from initiation through to delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience of project governance, risk and issue management.
  • The ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach.
