Facilities Management are looking to appoint a Cleaner in Charge to work at Castleton Community Centre and Library, Castleton. This role is 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.15am-9.00am (Thurs 7.45am-9am) & 5.15pm-9.30pm & Saturday 8.30am-2.00pm. Holidays to be taken throughout the year subject to approval. Please note hours may be subject to change dependent on the needs of the service. Overtime may be required from time to time and the appropriate rate will be paid.
We are looking for someone who is a hard-working, energetic and honest person with excellent customer care skills and the ability to provide a quality service at this busy community centre and library.
The successful candidate will:
- Be responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of cleanliness of designated areas in the building, including toilets and associated facilities against an agreed cleaning specification and good attention to detail.
- Able to complete practical handyman tasks.
- Have the ability to work to tight timescales and a flexible approach.
- Be able to work independently using initiative and as part of a team.
- Able to communicate clearly with and relate positively to all members of the community centre.
- Have knowledge of Health & Safety at work.
- Recognise the importance of ensuring a secure and safe environment of the site, including record keeping and the completion of compliance tasks.
