About the Roles
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated
Assistant EHC Assessment and Review Officers to join our Education, Health and Care (EHC) Assessment and Review Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
You will manage a caseload of children and young people, ensuring that statutory SEND processes are delivered in accordance with legislation and timescales.
Working closely with families, schools, health professionals and partner agencies, you will coordinate Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments, draft and amend Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and oversee annual review processes to ensure children and young people receive the support they need to achieve positive outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs.
- Coordinate Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments.
- Draft, issue and amend EHCPs in line with statutory requirements.
- Monitor and review EHCPs through the annual review process.
- Work collaboratively with schools, families, health colleagues and other agencies.
- Provide advice and support to stakeholders regarding SEND processes and legislation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of SEND services and undertake a lead role in designated areas of work.
