2 HOURS per week OR 4 hours per fortnight.

£13 per hour

Personal assistant required funded through a direct payment, to enable a 12-year-old child to access the local community with 1:1 supervision.

Family are looking to employ a personal assistant to support an energetic child with Autism and ADHD who enjoys swimming, cycling, attending flip out, visiting the local skate park and other age-appropriate activities of interest to the individual.

The role would include accompanying the individual to activities of their choice, supporting to develop life skills and independence under full supervision as the individual lack’s safety insight.

Family are looking for the right individual who can support their child to access the local community 2 hours per week, but happy to be used 4 hours per fortnightly.

Day/time to be flexible.

Main Duties

  • To access community-based activities such as swimming, visiting the local skate park and attending flip out (and any other age appropriate activities of interest to the individual).
  • To develop independence and life skills while engaging in the local community.
  • To develop social skills in the community.

Essential skills/experience

  • Experience of working with children with disabilities.
  • Experience and knowledge of Autism and ADHD.
  • 5.6 weeks’ holiday per year (pro-rata)
  • Sick pay at SSP rate (if applicable)
